IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL INCOMING 6TH AND 7TH GRADERS

DEAR PARENTS:

FOR ALL INCOMING 6TH GRADERS, THE ENTIRE IMMUNIZATION RECORD WILL BE NEEDED.

FOR ALL INCOMING 7TH GRADERS, YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ABLE TO START 7TH GRADE WITHOUT PROOF OF THE TDAP IMMUNIZATION.

In accordance with state law EVERY student entering 7th grade must provide proof of a Tdap immunization.  Verification of this required immunization must be received prior to your student registering for 7th grade in late August.  You may submit this verification at anytime prior to registration.  If your child has already received the immunization, please provide proof to the health office at klane@carlsbadusd.net
 

FAQ'S

Q: I have moved, how do I update my address in Aeries?  

First, ensure you reside within Valley Middle School Boundaries by typing your address in the map search.

Then, email  with your name, your child's name and your new address along with 2 proofs of address. Proof of address is your Escrow or Lease Agreement with your name, date, address & signatures AND the first full page of a current SDG&E or Water Bill showing your name, billing and service address.

Once this is received, we will update your information in Aeries and you will be able to view the change.

Q: What if I'm no longer residing within Valley's boundaries but I want to attend Valley next year?

If you find you are now residing within Calavera Hills Middle School or Aviara Oaks Middle School boundaries, you will need to fill out an INTRA-District Transfer between June 1 - 30 .  The district will send their decision via email in August.

Q: What if I missed the June 30th deadline and want to attend Valley in the new school year?

If it's after June 30th, you will need to enroll with your homeschool where you reside. After school reopens, you can speak to the district about transferring back to Valley.  Please check the district web-site for any changes or updates under Enrollment and Registration / INTRA District Transfers at Carlsbad Unified School District - Open Enrollment - Intradistrict Transfers (carlsbadusd.net).

Q: What if we are no longer in the Carlsbad Unified School District boundaries but want to attend school there?

If you find you are no longer in the Carlsbad District but want to attend Valley, you will need to fill out an INTER-District transfer by clicking here  and following the instructions.
